Resolving the Science Religion Problem (0 to 52:26)
WWII had two axioms of thought or "ideas on how to play the game of life." Is there a way to determine whether one was better than the other?
1. Can you improve on it with new iterations? Communist block fell in 1989 because it "did not work." This is one way to say that one idea is better than another.
2. If there is such a thing as "crimes against humanity" meaning somethings that are immoral no matter the cultural system, then the Holocaust would qualify. Which is a blow to moral relativism. But seems to be conceded because no one is willing to say that the Holocaust was ok (moral or ethical).
We do not live under a hierarchy based on the pursuit of power. We are much more complicated than that. If you look at the subsystems particularly in business, we operate on hierarchies based on competence. We buy cars that work the best. We hire plumbers who know how to fix our pipes.

Our job as parents is to socialize our children. Definition of "socialized" is if other children will play with them. This has to be done by the age of three. If they are not socialized by the age of four, then they start to feel the effects of exclusion by others.
Being socialized has to do with play. Teaching children to play games teaches them to take turns and be good sports and do what it takes in terms of fairness to have other children (people) willing to continue to play the game with you.
It is children raised without fathers that have a harder time dealing with rage--they are more aggressive. So it must not be that men teach aggression, but rather the opposite.
