Elder Clark Gilbert "The Parable of the Slope"
The main things I got from this talk:
1) It doesn't matter so much where you start in life as it does where you're headed and if your slope is upward.
2) God will help you get your slope going upward. Involve Him in the process. You will be more with Him than without Him.
Also, the church helps:
"Brothers and sisters, one of the miracles of this, the Lord’s Church, is that each of us can become something more in Christ. I know of no other organization that gives its members more opportunities to serve, give back, repent, and become better people."
