Our lesson in RS was on scripture study. One woman spoke of being weighed down by a particular care all week, then one morning as she studied scriptures she stumbled upon a scripture cross-reference that opened her eyes and gave her the insight she needed. Suddenly she found a flood of scriptures that suited her needs. She felt as though the Lord were saying, "Thank you for finally coming to me with this!"
I love that. How true. The Lord wants to help, but in order to honor our agency (see TG Prayer) he waits for us to ask. This also gives us the chance to recognize His help so that we have the comfort of knowing He loves and watches over us. He has so many ways to help and so many scriptures to turn to our needs. We must ask. We must open those scriptures and SEEK.
