Number 226: Teaching

I was thinking about how to get my sunday school class to listen to me.  Later that day I was reading Bednar's recent conference talk about genealogy.  He doesn't talk about it at all until he has built his case for why it is important and why we should care.  I remember admiring that.  I think the same is essential for the youth.  If I can establish at the first WHY they should care about what I'm saying, they'll be more apt to listen.  It's harder than it seems, though.  Why should they care about the book of Revelation.  What relevance does it have to their everyday lives.  That is what I have to ponder on and receive guidance from the Lord.
