Last Sunday during Sunday School, our teacher asked a question at the beginning of our class period, "Why did God send John the Baptist to be the forerunner to Jesus?" I knew I could answer the question if I thought about it, so I started thinking about it. She didn't really get any responses to the question and she went on to the rest of the lesson. By the end of the lesson, she had taught us a lot about John the Baptist and his mission and I'd had time to think about it in terms of her initial question. If she had reasked the question at the end of the lesson, I would have had a great answer!
So, that's a good tool for teaching -- ask a question at the beginning and then ask it again at the end!
