Day 22: Stake Conference

We do not need to learn good AND evil, we need to learn good FROM evil. You only learn about good by ingesting good and interestingly, you also only learn about evil from ingesting good. You don't learn about either when you ingest evil. Evil takes you away from the light and into darkness and the farther you are away from good and light, the less you can see and the less you understand.

Personal revelation is like a river. Sometimes we are just dabbling our toes in revelation, while other times we may wade in up to our waist or even out chest. We need to find those things that bring us to the deep part of the river and do more of those things. Then we need to find those things that take us out of the river and do less of those things.

The Book of Mormon is essentially a book about families.

Lehi was commanded to send his sons back for the brass plates. He probably could have done it much better himself, but his sons needed that experience. See how much stronger Nephi was after the experience! What if he hadn't had it? We must do the same with our children.
