Trust in God

Psalms 78:21 Therefore the Lord heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

 22 Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

 23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

 24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

 32 For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

 33 Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.

I like this because it reminds me that God has helped me in times past and helps me still.  Do I remember?  Can't I see?  Why would I doubt Him?  He has given me every reason to trust.

I also think the consequence in verse 33 is interesting.  He will consume my days in vanity and my years in trouble . . . if I don't trust in Him.  I think we all know what its like to have days consumed in vanity where we have done nothing that mattered.  When I trust God and follow His ways, then my days will matter.
