Alma 11:24 Believest thou that there is no God? I say unto you, Nay, thou knowest that there is a God, but thou lovest that lucre more than him.
I think sometimes I harbor the misperception that knowing there is a God is enough. If the world only believed in God, then, . . . well then we'd all live in righteousness, eh? Or if people believed in God, then they'd come to church! Or said differently, if they believe in God how can they not come to church?? Because . . . Amulek teaches us here, you can know very well that there is a God but love other things more than Him. That is a sad state, indeed. I think that is why I do go to church so that I don't get so turned around that I stop loving Him more than anything!
