Prayer

I realized last night as I pondered on my gratitude for a sweet life, that I feel as though the Lord has led me through the greenest parts of life much as He led His people in the Old Testament to the greenest parts of the desert.  This life is full of desert -- barren, harsh, lonely places -- and if I had not followed the counsel of the Lord, His gospel, and His prophets, much of my life would have been there in the desert.  Instead, I have trusted Him and He has led me to land that is sweet and good.  Why would I travel this land without a guide?  Especially since my Guide has proven to be so trustworthy.  He has filled His promises to me!
