Number 219: Thinking

There are people who do not want me (or anyone) to mention religion. Since they believe it is all make-believe, they do not understand why we can't just leave it hidden and make it private. I think it is much like if there were a group of people who didn't believe in cars. Imagine if someone from that group asked you, "How do you get to the store and back so quickly?" Then you answered, "I use my car." Then they exploded with, "Why do you always have to talk about cars? You know I don't believe it cars! Why can't you be respectful about my beliefs and not talk about yours all the time around me?" How is that person who uses a car and knows very much that they are real, how is that person to answer such questions? It would be tricky. Especially when they know how much their friend would benefit from a car. And why, if there is such help available in the world, would the friend insist on not being told of it?
