Day 173: Stake Conference

President Harker encouraged us to deny ourselves those experiences that would separate us from the spirit of God. I think this asks us to live a higher standard. It asks us to evaluate all of our activities, even if they are fun or entertaining, and deny ourselves that fun or entertainment if we don't feel the spirit can be there with us. It's a harder way to live, more exact, but it can lift us so much higher and give us so much more joy and clarity than a moment's entertainment ever could.
