Kevin is reading a book on meditation. It claims that all of us have a "deep, innate desire to perceive the grand mystery of creation--and be part of it." It says this after saying that we are like the surface of a lake. When we are calm, we reflect the universe around us. When we are troubled and roughed up, then we reflect only ourselves.
I find this to be true. When I do have calm moments, I do try to "perceive" things. I try to figure out truth. I think all people do. I think it is interesting that we all are searching for something deeper. We are looking for meaning. Why? It only makes sense in the truth that we come from a Heavenly Father and He has a plan and we know it and a part of us remembers.
