We learn that God starts by giving us a bit of knowledge or a bit of a gift and then waits to see what we will do with it. If we are faithful, we get more. Also, before each new blessing, there is a new commandment, a higher road of obedience. So, in order to increase my own relationship with the Lord, I must seek out higher obedience and then I will be blessed with a closer relationship.
Heaven is a place we look forward to because of the love that waits for us there. Heaven is heaven because we get to be with a God who loves us. This is what every soul yearns for. It seems simplistic and yet it is everything! Which brings me back to my own children. Do they know that I love them? It's really the best thing I can do for them. I must do it well!
