Old Testament

I love the story of Esther for the first time a woman is recognized as being the savior of Israel, and it has a great message for all of us. Esther Chapter 4, verse 14 "Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this." I wonder when I read it what purpose I may have that I need to accomplish while I am here.

Job.
I think it's interesting that in this book makes it clear that Satan is the one who brings evil to Job, who sends the fire from the sky in the whirlwind and the boils. And yet it is always the Lord, whom we blame.

alma chapter 7 verse 23.
"Asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal. Always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive."
Sometimes I get so caught up enduring and doing my best with what I have that I forget that I've been commanded to ask. And when I do, I will receive the help I need. I must remember to ask.
