Bro. Neel testified of "my Savior and my Best Friend, Jesus Christ." I love that SO MUCH! That is exactly what He can and should be in each of our lives.
Bro. Robertson spoke of some new old fruit trees he'd gotten for his house from an orchard--they were already pretty big. But because of that, they had been expertly pruned from the beginning of their lives and would grow exactly the way they needed to produce the most fruit and be the very strongest. He said God does that with us and even when we're so proud of a big, leafy branch, if it's going in the wrong direction, He'll cut it off. We may be sad or even angry but if we trust the Master Gardner, we can know that He will have us growing in the right direction again in order to produce the best fruit and be the strongest we can be.
In the Book of Mormon Central, Come Follow Me lesson (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV3KUTR8DhM&t=40s) I also learned some stuff:
If God had a favorite scripture, wouldn't he make us memorize it and say it often and get the words exactly right? Perhaps that is what is happening with the sacrament prayers. If any investigator doubts whether we are "Christian," tell them about the sacrament prayers and have them read them. We should ponder them forever because they have the keys to salvation.
