This leads to an important question: “Therefore, what?” A good place to begin is to understand that all things are spiritual to the Lord, “and not at any time” has He given us “a law which was temporal.”¹²

He also speaks in this talk of Joseph in Egypt. So, this quote actually made me think of how sometimes we live in a time of spiritual plenty but there may be a time when we are asked to go through a spiritual famine. Will I have reserves stockpiled against that day, and maybe a better question is, will I use them? Do people who have walked away from their belief in Jesus Christ, when they believe the heavens are silent, do they remember the times in their lives when it was not?
