The video that goes with this week's lesson on Nephi building a ship compares Nephi's task to a teen girl being asked to invite an inactive girl to church.  It seems impossible to her just as the boat seems impossible to Nephi.  She is mocked just as Nephi is mocked.  But she is courageous in doing as the Lord has asked just as Nephi does.  Ultimately she is successful, as of course, is Nephi.

We forget sometimes that just because most of our examples in the scriptures are physically hard, that it does not apply only to physical things.  Most of the things we find hard are socially hard.  We must learn to take our cues from Nephi and other valiant scriptural examples in our social lives as well.
