Day 196: Relief Society
Sis. Atkinson told of a time when she was running a ranch and her hands had become rough from all the work. At the same time, she needed to sew a satin dress for her daughter. She found that her hands kept snagging on the cloth and that she had lost some of the fine feel in her hands necessary for turning a seam and doing other delicate work. She compared this to personal revelation. She said when we are out with the crass things of the world, we lose our sensitivity to the delicate things of the spirit. We need to be careful to not lose our sensitivity to the delicate work of inspiration.
