Day 179: Thinking

We are so dependent on our eyes sometimes. We love the cute, the beautiful, the attractive. Two-year olds are a great example. They are so cute! But, my goodness, in reality? They make messes, they don't obey, they poop in the worst places, they even hit and pull hair and bite and don't even feel bad about it. But, oh they're cute, and we love them anyway! It's really a trick of nature so that we will keep caring for them even when they are difficult. It is okay with two-year-olds, but when it comes to adults, we can't be taken in the same way. When my daughters date, they can't want to be with a boy just because he is visually stunning. Big deal! I mean, come on, what if he poops in the worst places? Especially when people are dating or choosing people they spend time with in any relationship, they need to think these things through!
