Day 144: Teaching Primary

In John 9, Jesus heals a man born blind. The primary lesson manual point out how the passage shows the man's progression in testimony! First he says that "a man" named Jesus healed him, then he calls Him a "prophet," then he says that He must be of God, and finally he recognizes Him as the Lord and worships Him. His testimony grows as He defends Jesus, so he is "rewarded" with greater knowledge. His testimony also grows as he articulates what he knows and draws conclusions based on his experiences. Here is another value in bearing testimony -- we discover what we believe, what we know. The bearing of testimony increases our testimony and our closeness to the Lord.
