Day 121: Pondering
I may have said this before, but in case I haven't . . . We tend to think in terms of our five senses. We "prove" things are real by whether we can see, hear, touch, smell, or feel them. But there is another sense inside of us that we trust even more. Unfortunately, we don't have a name for it, which gives us even more cause to discount it! But, it is that sense that makes us truly believe a thing. Especially in this age where so many things can be created. Hollywood makes even the most fantastical creations "real." It's just proof that our five senses are fallible. If people were completely honest with themselves, though, they would recognize that they weren't relying on their five senses anyway. They were relying on that other sense. The sense that convinces them of truth. Why do we discount it? Those of us who believe in God are looked down on as "wishful thinkers" or maybe even fools because we believe in something that is not real to them. When, in reality, it is really just our ability to use this other sense that has been more cultivated in our lives. We have plenty of proof. These people are just looking in the wrong places . . .
