Day 89: Family Scripture Study
Jacob 6 While I read Jacob's words exhorting us to bring forth good fruit, I wondered about what kind of actions would be the best fruit to bring forth. It seems to me that any kind of service is good fruit, but to go one step further, perhaps the best kind of service is to teach people about God, to testify of Him, and bring people to Him. Jacob spent his own life doing just that. I think I should put my mind to work on how I can do more of this in my own life. As it says in the hymn, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go, Dear Lord," There's surely somewhere a lowly place in earth's harvest fields so wide Where I may labor through life's short day for Jesus the Crucified . . . This is surely true. Surely there is somewhere in this wide earth to serve my Lord.
