More thoughts on pride:
"We know that each person is much more than the caricatures we create based on mortal data. If we can see past the mortal crust, we know there is a noble creature inside."
"The most important part of every human is hidden from our view."
"Rather than fretting about defending ourselves against an enemy world, we are free to encourage and support each other."
Perhaps this last quote is the most important for me. I need to not view others as my enemies and see them instead as "noble creatures" who I can support and encourage.
