Luke Chapter 1
"37For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her."
These are two of my favorite scriptures and I think it is significant that they come right after each other. Nothing is impossible for the Lord, but in all things, we must submit to Him and trust in His ways. When we do, amazing things come to pass. Glorious things, things which save all of mankind. Even when the event is hard and unwelcome and we would in our ignorance change it if we could. Aren't we all glad that Mary did not fight the will of God in this instance?
