Calianne asked me if I ever tried cigarettes. I told her that I hadn't because my mom had taught me not to. Then she asked, "Did you teach us not to, too?"
Did I? I didn't know. She's been taught in church and at school and I have agreed with the teachings she has reiterated to me. But did I teach her myself?
That made me wonder how many things I just assume that she knows which I haven't actually taught her? I need to make a list of "Things I want my children to know," and then teach from that list for FHE. It's funny how I always struggle with knowing what to teach for FHE -- looking to other sources for others to tell me what to teach -- when all along I had so much inside of me that I already wanted to say!
