Day 2: Sunday School

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

There is so much beautiful symbolism in this verse that speaks of the coming of Messiah, but I also love how it implies that those who are comforted and find joy in the Lord are called righteous. When we are happy because of the Lord, we have pleased Him! Of course this is true since we can only be happy because of the Lord if we believe Him. This shows our faith and our trust. "Have hope!" He says. "Be happy! BELIEVE me." I do. I can.
